Democratic Gov. Steve Bullock spoke to a crowd of Bozeman business people Wednesday about the state government’s new website aimed at easing the entrepreneurial process in Montana.
The Montana Business Navigator is a website where entrepreneurs begin by facing a reality-check set of questions, instructions on drafting a business plan, tools for conducting market research and links to the federal Small Business Administration’s mentorship network.
When ready, the website offers an eight-step guide through the technical and bureaucratic process of opening a business and minute operational instructions, like hiring employees, purchasing business insurance, and paying state taxes. It allows users to fill out, submit and track permit or license applications.
